I am the biggest tight bum around- there you go I've said it!
When it comes to buying clothes, I go through a very lengthy thought process which can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, where I consider every single situation I could wear the item in question, everything that particular item would match with and then, all of the things I could buy with the same money instead of the item. Only then, if I still want it, will I buy it!
But don't you just love it when you do splash the cash on a top and it turns out to be the most useful, pretty, flattering purchase you have ever worn.
This is what happened when I brought my favourite black and white cropped top and below is a breakdown of why my wardrobe couldn't survive without it:

Black & White Cropped Top
A crop top for clubbing is always a shout, from strappy to long sleeved, dressed up just right can make for the perfect going out out outfit all year round. I always find with tops I wear to the club, I stick to neutral colours, often opting for a pop of colour on the bottom half, if at all. Black and white is also such an easy colour to work with as it can go with any bottoms, pretty much!
When going out out, I often like to pair my black and white top with denim, which can be jeans, a skirt or shorts- weather dependent of course. Whilst the shorts give a more festival or holiday vibe, they could be worn with heels, a leather jacket, some nice hoops and a necklace to transform it into the perfect club costume! (And if you're one of those super edgy, cool people that we all admire, you could pair it with a fun coloured heel to spice it all up).

When you have a top that is both black and white, it always looks classy with a block colour on the bottom half. Whether that be a skirt, shorts, trousers or whatever else. I personally try to stay away from block blacks or block whites unless I have a wacky pair of shoes, just simply because I think we can all be more inventive than that, cmon girls! My favourite colours to wear out-out are burgandy and khaki green, because they never seem to go out of fashion and work well year round. But other colours often worn are bright blues, mustards, pastel pinks, and navys.

The one thing about the black and white crop top that I own is that it has no sleeves, just straps (much like the picture above), which can be both a blessing and a curse. In the Winter, I discovered that putting a cropped mesh top or jumper over the top would be practical to keep me warmer and allow me to make good use of my summer clothes even during the Winter months.

I already briefly touched upon holidays earlier, and like I said, pairing this with denim shorts gives that summer feel, particularly when they are decorated in lace, drawing on a more bo-ho style. But in addition to this, because of the neutral colour, I often put this on with comfortable material shorts of all colours, to go down to the beach and slip on over my bikini. It can also work under holiday kimonos and shawls, making it practical for the heat. Finally, on holiday, this is perfect to dress up from the beach to nighttime, with a simple jacket (unless you're lucky enough that its too hot for this), some wedges and jewelry.

I think this top was well worth splashing the cash, after I finally brought it having concluded that I could wear it in all the situations above!!
