Why is it that everyone is so obsessed with room tours and room decor tips?- Well I hope it's not just me being nosy anyway!
Just before I dismantle my room and pack it all away for University (stressfullll), I thought I would let you in to see it and see all my decor in it's original place before it's too late.

Welcome to my room!

When I moved into my new house, I was 14, so as you can imagine, my bedroom decor was a big deal. So, to be honest, I had expectations of a Zoella-type room, with mainly neutral colours and colour added in the decorations/bed sheets that changed seasonally.
Well anyway, I wish!
That idea went straight down the plughole, and could easily have been converted into an expectations VS reality meme, once I had worked out that this was going to be way too expensive and way too much effort for a school girl (who didn't even have a job at the time)!
However, I have stuck with this neutral theme, occasionally adding a splash of colour, making it now a bit of an organised jumble of niknaks in all different colours, but that's just how I like it!

My little "Princess" boxes are from B&M and were a birthday present from my boyfriend, I think they are going to come in very handy at Uni, in addition to my crates, which are from the 99p Store, and I painted them to match my room and act as little storage boxes by my desk.
You might have noticed, my green bottle light from Homebase. You might just about be able to see the stars lit up inside it which I absolutely love. I really like having this little display shelf which I sometimes decorate for Christmases and Halloween.

Following valentines day, when I was spoilt with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from my boyfriend I had them on my windowsill and they truly brought the room to life for the few weeks that they lasted- It was so sad when they died. In Amsterdam I picked up some cute little fake tulips which have now taken their place- well until I get spoilt again- HINT HINT!!
A lot of the decor in my room is also a take on vintage, particularly my duck egg clock and the handles on my wardrobe. -BTW this is a great tip for how to make your furniture tye into a new room and look so much nicer. Before I put on these (which I found super cheap on EBay), they were just a simple wood colour, trust me, these look so much nicer!
My bunting on my window was made by my aunt and the one above my bed was made by me. I love the colours in both of them as it goes well all year round.
I love my canvas which features rainy London as well as my scratch map, which I have always wanted to track where I have been and keep myself focused on where I want to go to. Only annoying thing is, unless I visit all of the random, and arguably less appealing places to go, I will probably never complete it.. but never say never right!

Oh look, and to top it all off, on top of my wardrobe are yet more year round "Christmas Deocorations" (as well as a massive spider making itself at home...)- whoopsy!
Serious question though, does anyone else keep up things like this for the whole year or is it just me??
If you made it this far, I sincerely apologise for the MAJOR ramble session here, although I hope you have enjoyed looking round my room with me. Let me know if you would like me to do a similar Uni room snippets once I have settled in.
